A personal commitment to fund student achievement and excellence.
If elected to the School Board, I will dedicate 20% of my salary to a trust that sponsors student programs, enabling our champions to compete and excel at state and national levels.
20% of My School Board Salary
Dedicated annually to the Student Program Sponsorship Trust, demonstrating my commitment to supporting student excellence and putting my money where my mouth is.
As a candidate for Escambia County School Board District 2, I want to demonstrate my genuine commitment to our students through more than words—through concrete action. If elected, I will establish a trust fund using 20% of my salary as a school board member to sponsor student programs and achievements.
This isn't about seeking recognition or creating a vanity project. It's about ensuring that no student in our district misses an opportunity to compete, perform, or represent our schools at state and national levels due to financial constraints. Our brightest and most talented deserve support when they have the opportunity to bring honor to our schools and community.
Team travel and competition funding for students competing at state or national athletic championships—from basketball state tournaments to cross country nationals to individual athlete competitions.
Support for student musicians, actors, dancers, and other performers competing or performing at state and national levels, including festivals, competitions, and showcase events.
Funding for visual artists, photographers, and designers competing at state and national art competitions, exhibitions, and showcases.
Support for students competing at state and national academic levels, including science fairs, debate competitions, academic bowl teams, and robotics competitions.
When a student earns the opportunity to compete at state or national levels, financial constraints should never prevent them from participating. Families shouldn't have to choose between funding their child's achievement and paying other bills. This trust removes that barrier.
Students who qualify for state and national competition represent the best of our schools. Funding their participation shows that our district celebrates excellence and supports our champions. It demonstrates that we value achievement across all domains—athletics, arts, and academics.
This trust supports students across the entire spectrum of achievement—the basketball team heading to states, the solo musician competing nationally, the science team at nationals, the individual athlete. It's inclusive and broadly supportive of student excellence.
By personally funding this initiative with 20% of my school board salary, I'm putting my money where my mouth is. This isn't about spending taxpayer money—it's about my genuine commitment to supporting student achievement. I'm willing to make a personal sacrifice to demonstrate how serious I am about this promise.
When students represent District 2 at state and national competitions, they bring pride and recognition to our schools. Supporting their participation amplifies their achievement and strengthens our community's investment in our schools.
